Name of Names
I have decided to open this up to the public. Since I chose to open this “can” thru this venue, it seems fitting that I open it up to my (3) readers to help choose. I do however reserve the right to veto popular opinion (if our national democratic process can do it so can I).
Please feel free to add any that come vie inspiration, perspiration or consternation.
Here is a list of some of the nicknames that have come and gone over the years:
Hodgson (me and my best friend referred to each other by our last names)
Big Dumb Guy (not one of my favorites. My English professor in high school called me this)
Big Bird (from the summer I bleached my hair)
Yandel (a girl in youth group called us Yandel and Yandelle)
Dragons (my brother calls Danielle and myself D&D… Dungeons and Dragons)
Daniel-son (my father-in-law)
Tall Drink of Water (very uncomfortable story that is attached to this… maybe later)
Big “D” (I’m tall… not diarrhea)
Dad (ya’ll can’t call me that)
Babe ( ya’ll REALLY can’t call me that)

hi my name is daniel and i’m a wordpresser… apparently
I didnt vote yet. I can’t decide, although I’m totally amused.
i so want to hear the Tall Drink of Water story. (it sounds like a native american name…) and i could never call you “big D”. just couldn’t do it.
two posts in two days? i still can’t believe it.
I agree with Alece on the “Big D”. It just can not ever, EVER happen.
Haha! Yeah, whoever was the ‘genius’ (and I use that term loosely) who came up with ‘Big D’ … maybe not so.
You mention an uncomfortable story … everyone wants to know.
What’s your favorite ‘Leesi nickname?
I am kinda leaning toward Hodge. The story will come lateer. Danielle is better at telling it. She will most likely be emailing it out due to its delicate nature.
how about takai rippa? its Japanese! And i thought i was the one who started Danielsan?
